Mental Wellbeing Staff at headspace Denmark to Use Agylia

Kim CallesenBristol (UK), February 2019 - Agylia is pleased to announce that headspace Denmark, a national counselling service for young people across Denmark, will use the Agylia Learning Management System (LMS) and mobile learning apps to deliver its learning programmes to onboard, grow, and develop staff and volunteer counsellors, enabling them to meet the needs of those who come to them for counselling support.

headspace Denmark is an initiative under The Social Network, which aims to remove taboos and prejudices regarding mental illnesses by creating a deeper understanding and more coherent approach to mentally vulnerable people.

Kim Callesen, Centre Manager at headspace Aabenraa, one of the eighteen headspaces in Denmark, said, "With staff at eighteen headspace Denmark centres and more than 450 volunteer counsellors across the country, we wanted to transform our onboarding and training programmes beyond the face-to-face introduction weekends and regular theme nights we hold at our centres to provide the latest in modern digital learning experiences."

"A new digital learning approach will enable us to onboard new staff and volunteers quickly, meaning they can begin to support young people quickly, too. We will also be able to deliver ongoing learning programmes – sharing content, insights, and techniques – to develop our people’s knowledge and understanding of the challenges young people have and come with."

Following consultation with Roiit, digital learning consultants and Agylia partner in Denmark, headspace Denmark chose the Agylia LMS and mobile learning apps as their learning platform because of its modern functionality, ease of use, and ability to create a highly effective digital learning environment for both learners and administrators.

"This is our first learning platform, and it’s a significant step forward for headspace Denmark. Working with Roiit and Agylia, we will be able to modernise our learning programmes and provide staff and counsellors with engaging digital learning experiences, helping them to grow and develop. This will help us with our ultimate goal, improving the service we provide the young people who come to us for support," added Kim.

headspace Denmark will deliver a wide range of digital and blended learning content, including eLearning courses, events, videos, podcasts, and documents, for access by staff and counsellors across Denmark via Agylia’s powerful learner portal and mobile learning apps.

The Agylia apps for iOS and Android will provide users with access to the learning content on their mobile or tablet devices. Due to the nature of the learning environment - in which staff and counsellors are supporting young people at a headspace centre or remotely via chat - the learning materials can be accessed via the Agylia app wherever and whenever required.

The Agylia learner portal and apps will be available in both Danish and English, allowing users to select their preferred language.
